OVERVIEW
KODAK Photo CD Access 2.0 Software provides a familiar, menu-driven

bearing the Photo CD symbol to be displayed, manipulated, and exported
to existing software applications. You will find many ways in which to
use the photographs. You can use them in
* Word processing and desktop publishing software
* Painting, drawing, graphics, and presentation packages
* Database and development tools
* Other applications that support bit-mapped color,
bitonal, or gray-scale images
This release comes with a "Access Plus Software and Photo Sampler II" disc. In addition to these sample images, you can take your negatives or film to a photo finishing service and have your own photographs placed on new Photo CD discs.
FEATURES

KNOWN PROBLEMS AND LIMITATIONS
1) If you receive an error message that you are running out of cache space, and you have no other available hard drive with sufficient disk space to switch the cache to, you should quit the program as soon as possible, or it may crash.
2) The minimum hardware configuration is incorrectly documented as 4 MB of RAM. The minimum Application Partition that the program will function in is 4 MB. You may get an error message when you set the application partition below 8 MB (the default), but as long as it's over 4 MB, the program should run. The program will not run on a machine with only 4 MB of RAM.
3) You cannot copy an image, or portion thereof, larger than Base size (512 x 768 pixels) to the clipboard.
4) Export of "256 Gray" images in TIFF format while using Custom Colors is not supported.
5) The Encapsulated PostScript files that are exported by Access software are Level 2 PostScript. This means that only those applications that support Level 2 PostScript will be able to import images and that only Level 2 printers will be able to print the images.
6) In the Export dialog, the space that Access estimates to be available on your target hard drive may be incorrect. However, the estimated size of your exported file will be correct. Before exporting, you should check your available disk space through the Finder.
7) The Eject button in the Load Photo dialog box is not always enabled properly.
8) Selecting Access Help will cause the program to crash if you have the "Even Better Mr. Bus Error" INIT loaded.
9) Page Setup and Print are only available for the printing of release notes. You cannot print pictures from Access.
